Emmanuel hits the right note

I am not a fan of Rahm Emmanuel's, but I'll give him credit today for something he said. In introducing the election for Speaker of the House, which, of course, everyone knew would be a victory for Nancy Pelosi, Emmanuel said that the moment was an important one for "boys and girls" all over the country, as another milestone in equality was achieved. That he included boys in this statement was, to my way of thinking, just right, for equality is never just for one group, but for everyone.
