I grew up with cows and found them to be totally gentle and sweet, as did my husband. We have also spread the Cow Propaganda.
Hurricane Blues was released in November. You can buy it from the Southeast Missouri State University Press website. It's a very nice publication, and all proceeds go to hurricane relief efforts.
Speaking of university presses...my niece used to work for LSU press, and when she was looking for a new job she really wanted to stick with the uni press environment. She turned down opportunities to work in NY and instead took a job at UChicago press, where she is doing quite well. We're all really proud of her.
Chicago is nice, though I cannot imagine turning down a chance to work in New York! I do think, however, that working for a university press would be quite a nice job. LSU press must have given her some very good experience.
I hope you enjoy Hurricane Blues. There is another hurricane poetry anthology coming out, but I don't know when. The editor is supposed to give me a copy (by virtue of the fact that we are both poets and I am in the hurricane zone), but I haven't heard anything about it in a while.

That was a wonderful poem. While I was over there I had to read Cows Gone Wild.
I suspect I'm responsible for that Cow Propaganda she mentions.
