NLRB sets new standards for who can join unions
In a 3-2 vote (Bush appointees comprising the 3), the National Labor Relations Board has re-defined the meaning of the term "supervisor," with the result that millions of American workers may be barred from joining labor unions. The ruling defined as supervisors any nurses who direct and oversee other nursing staff. These definitions can be--and it is expected that they will be--applied to workers in a variety of industries.

That will pretty much block all nurses, since they supervise the non licensed staff. Very few states allow nurses a union anyway, or they may allow it, but the first rumors of a union, the hospitals all ban together and the trouble makers are fired. We can't have women, since nurses are mostly women, make too much money now, can we? Besides, nurses, or women, just work to buy the things their hubby's check doesn't cover, like make-up and jewels. HA! The unfairness to nurses and I suppse to educators of children, well it just sucks.
