What IS that thing? Does it spin?

Yes, there is a ball in the track (look in the 2nd photo) and the cat bats the ball round and round and round. Most spinners are smaller, but we had to buy the giant size for Velma. She could actually use a bigger one, but this is the biggest one made.

We have a smaller one with a ball and a smaller one with a mouse on the track. Roxie likes them okay, but Velma is mad for them.

My cat loved to play in a paper bag. He would play and play and then when he tired, he would climb up on his little stair case and at the very top was a cat perch or actually just a carpeted box and there he would sleep until time to eat or play again. Gosh, I can't wait until I can get a cat. I'm thinking next summer, if we buy a house. One kitten and one puppy and maybe a cow. Yep, my own cow. Not to eat, no I would never do that nor to drink her milk, but to have and let her be, and know that at least one cow is safe, oh maybe a turkey and a few chickens too. A farm, that's what I want, a farm.

Oh my gods, I just saw a goat on the highway and I stopped to get it, not to keep, but to try and figure out where it came from. It was the sweetest goat and not long after I stopped and held it to keep it out of the highway, then a farmer came up and told me thanks and that it was his goat. I would love to have a goat. One with a beard, like the one I found. I did ask him if he ate the goat meat and he said no, that he had four and they had them for pets and to keep the grass chewed up around the fences. I was relieved.

People keep goats around here. They are very sweet animals. Once, years ago, when I lived in Audubon Park (it sounds crazy, but you can live there--the "street" is really a sidewalk), I woke up one morning and found a goat in my yard, tied to a tree. A neighbor had found it and just decided to keep it--tied to a tree. I had the SPCA come and get it, of course, but it was fun to have around for a day or two.
