A federal appeals court ordered the EPA to also consider formulating new standards for disease-causing bacteria, viruses and parasites in factory farm run-off, but the agency has decided not to do so.

Just one more reason to become vegan. Even if Americans don't care about the condition of animals in factory farms, groundwater pollution affects each one of us. The Bush administration is so callous that I have stopped wondering what they will do next. I worried about this country when Republicans boasted that we would have the first "CEO President," and had no idea how horrific conditions would become.
