I had very poor light, so this was the best I could do without scaring the visitor away

How cool. I had a turtle that lived in the bushes behind my house and every day, I put out fresh vegetables and fruit for him. I did see a snake too, but I tried to avoid him, although he wasn't dangerous. It's just they are like crikets very unpredicatable in the way they move.

When I was a child, there was a box turtle in our yard that I fed every day. It had its only little dishes and came around for regular meals.
Up until a couple of years ago, we had a snake living behind our pump house, but I think it got tired of all the disturbance of our walking back and forth.
