Even a small New Orleans gives one pause

I have had many exquisite New Year's Eve experiences--all in the past, all in New Orleans--and one of them was to take a bottle of champagne and some sparklers onto the levee in the Riverbend section of town. As the tower lights sparkled, so did the fireworks in reply. So this is one of the reasons I no longer live there.
