Congresswoman Slaughter drops a bombshell

A big one.

If this is true (and I'm not suggesting it isn't), why isn't it getting any run on the major networks? Is the entire mainstream journalistic presence (such as it is) in this nation now unable to say anything without majority approval or White House sanction? I can remember a time when nothing of this consequence escaped the prodding finger of investigative reporting. Now... I shudder to think.

Well, Bob, you could ask the same question about several big stories of the past year: the Sibel Edmunds case (in my opinion, the biggest national story of 2004-2005), the cover-up of the number of Iraqi deaths, the ever-evolving story of Diebold, the FERC's announcement that Enron acted illegally (and Gray Davis was right)...there are literally dozens more.
