How sad that grandmothers can't protest. It's like what harm can we do. I am a grandmother and fit into the age range, although at the lesser end, but still, I can't imagine someone arresting me for peacefully protesting. A couple of years ago, the marines were recruiting at the University where I did undergraduate work, and I stood there telling the children, and I mean children, don't listen to them, they lie. You join, you go to war, you get shot at, you may die. I kept saying that over and over and finally the young recruiter said, "Lady when do you have your next class?" He was nice, but I can see where he could have called the cops and had me removed. Every time I see the recruiters on campus, I tell the students to stay away or it could be detrimental to their health. But thank the gods kids are not joining and it's a good thing. Let the warmongers join, not the innocent children who just need money for school. I tell them get loans and worry about paying it back later. Don't sacrifice your sanity, or your limbs, or your life.
