Not a lovely day in the neighborhood

The resident is a few miles from me right now, hanging out with the homeless at our Habitat for Humanity headquarters. When a local official said we weren't anywhere close to being rid of all the trash, he wasn't kidding.

Is the hair on the nape of your neck standing up?

What an insult to the good people who are involved with habitat for humanity and to people devasted by Katrina. He can never look concerned or helpful. He always has that smart ass look on his face, a smirk and that smirk reveals what he is thinking and we know this because of his actions and when he talks. It's not the poor or the homeless or the sick or the tired that he rules. Oh no, it's the strong, the rich, the many homed, and the healthy.
I don't know if I can make it through the rest of his term. I went to buy coffee, the beans, I grind, anyway, they are out of the cheap folger beans and say they are not reordereing and instead are the expensive beans that cost 10 bucks a bag. I think, maybe I'm wrong, but I think coffee is the next inflatable item. Price gouge gas, and price gas coffee. How rude. The two fuels I really need. Damn those republicans.
