Are those post-Katrina? Have you actually been into NO since the hurricane? I admit I never went to the parks or zoos in NO when I visited. I don't care much for zoos, actually, and it was usually too hot to contemplate spending much time outdoors. (I've become a baby about heat since leaving Louisiana, I'm afraid!)

No, these are pre-Katrina. I'll be making my first trip in a week.
Audubon Zoo is one of the finest zoos in the world, definitely worth seeing--but not in the summer.
