As far as I can tell, Roberts didn't reject the idea of equal pay for the same work. He only rejected equal pay for different work, i.e. socialism. Do you think a female lawyer should make as much money as a male bus driver?
No, and the example you bring up has nothing to do with comparable worth. I suspect you already know it doesn't, but in the interest of education, an appropriate example would be a female rig worker and a male truck driver, or a female attorney and a male accountant. That is what comparable worth is about, and that is another form of equal pay.
