I often wonder why this raving lunatic of a terrorist is allowed to do whatever the hell he pleases. Oh, that's right, he's a white Christian, not a muslim.
"although I disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it." basis for the first amendment. that would be why he's allowed to say it, even if his brain is stuck in the neolithic era... why do you think the majority of blogs should never be read? because although they have a right to write a very large range of things, the majority of people who blog are idiots, it can't be helped, what can be helped(because they'll never change) is the readers, just don't read it...
True. For me, however, the issue is something else: If liberals picketed the funerals of U.S. soldiers, they would be beaten, kicked, and arrested. Phelps gets to do it, however.
That is pretty much what I meant. I would defend Phelps' right to hold his pathetic and crazy protests, but because he's doing it in the name of Christianity, no one does anything.
Liberals would definitely NOT get away with that sort of behavior, for sure.
