Acting governor of New Jersey panders mightily to American "patriots"

Richard J. Codey, acting governor of New Jersey, expressed outrage Tuesday that our country's national anthem wasn't played during a New Jersey-based soccer match between England and Columbia. He doesn't get out much: the national anthems of the competing teams are the only ones that are played. And, to add insult to injury, Codey was told that the British don't want to hear "The Star-Spangled Banner."

1 Comments:

Well they could certainly play "My Country Tis of Thee" and everyone would be happy.
