And they say this administration doesn't care about the arts
Secret Service agents visited Columbia College's Glass Curtain Gallery in Chicago Thursday for a look at the exhibition, Axis of Evil, the Secret History of Sin." The agents took photographs of some of the art, including one titled "Patriot Act," which shows Bush on a postage stamp with a revolver pointed at his head. They asked for names and telephone numbers of the artists and wanted to know "what the artists meant by their work."
Apparently, some "shocked" citizens complained about the exhibit, and the complaints triggered the Secret Service investigation. There is nothing shocking, of course, about curtailment of free speech and the deaths of thousands. That's just business as usual.
