And more poetry...

I am pleased to have a poem in the inaugural edition of a lovely new ezine, Umbrella Journal.

Also, yesterday I learned that one of my poems has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. This is my first Pushcart nomination for poetry.

Thanks, Fred! I had a fiction nomination several years ago. It went nowhere, as I expect this one to do, but it really is nice to be one of the nominated.

I love it! Especially as a mama to two girls, ages 12 and 6.

You know, no sooner than the first one will be done with being a teenager, and the next one is gonna start.

Thanks Victoria, handdrunner and Kathy. Kathy, the poem is "I Forget the Unforgettable."

I never submit with the PP in mind, of course, and consequently, I often submit what I think are my best poems to publications that do not nominate--I don't even know who does nominate, except for the obviuos "A list" ones. It just isn't something I think about. This was a surprise.
