I think irony really IS dead this time

Michael Brown of "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job" fame, has been hired as a FEMA consultant.

His job? To help figure out what went wrong with Katrina recovery. His was one of the biggest screw-ups in American history, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of humans and other creatures, and the suffering of thousands. The result? He gets bonus money.

In other news, Osama bin Laden has been hired as a consultant by the Department of Homeland Security.

One need only look at the past presidential medal of freedom winners to see the list of incompetents who royally screwed up and were later honored for a job "well done" (as in steak).

Good comparison! OBL certainly is definitely the calibre of one who would deserve dumbya's medal of freedom, alright.

I guess they're paying 'Brownie' to provide pointers on how to ignore a major catastrophe and insure the optimium number of deaths and casualties?
