"Tom should stick to saving the world from aliens..."

Brooke Shields, bless her, had a thing or two to say about Tom Cruise's calling her "irresponsible" because she took Paxil to treat her postpartum depression. In discussing Shields' book, Down Came the Rain, Cruise, an ardent Scientologist, suggested that Shields should have tried vitamins and exercise.

Shields, for her part, suggested that Cruise mind his own business. Right on, Brooke.

Tom Cruise needs to get a new publicist. He's out of control. How dare he judge other people, and especially on a subject he could never EVER know anything about - postpartum depression.

This is one of the things I hate about scientology, that sort of smug, superior attitude garnered from what they believe is some ability to control everything. I actually heard a rumor (from a pretty good source, too), years ago, who said Tom Cruise only became a scientologist to be cured of "the gay". Also this same source said John Travolta is in the same boat. I think now the scientologists have them both in their clutches and there is no escape... but I digress.

It's just fun to diss scientologists. I live in the hotbed of them and did you know they have a whole level of uniformed drones ambling about the neighborhood doing who-knows-what. I do know one criticized my sister for giving a homeless man $5.00.

Anyway, good for Brooke.

Not to long ago, I saw Scientology described somewhere as "gay celebrities and the women who marry them."
